New York University

Student Services Center
NYU saw the need to restructure their enrollment services process to
increase student satisfaction while making their in-house operations more
efficient. To do this they created combined new facilities for the offices
of Financial Aid, Bursar, and Registrar by consolidating the front office
services of these three departments in one space, and placing the back
offices in another location. FRK was retained for their prior experience
with banking facilities, their in house signage and graphic capabilities,
and their emphasis on the importance of programming to give shape to the
design process.

200 Water Street
200 Water Street is a 32 story, 540,000 sf. office tower in lower Manhattan
recently converted to residential use. After initial bids were rejected on
the basis of proposed cost and time frame, the project was rebid. On a fast
track schedule and in coordination with the owner s conversion work FRK
provided space planning schemes and coordination of the furniture purchase
order for all 575 units, a considerable challenge considering the 80
different unit types, in a three week time frame which allowed the project
to open in time. In house CAD and computer graphic capability were
instrumental in producing the work in less than the requested time

Warren Weaver Hall
Warren Weaver Hall is a 15 story building housing the Courant Institute for
Mathematical Sciences on the NYU Greenwich Village Campus. Originally built
in 1963, the building is scheduled for a top to bottom renovation, to be
completed over 5 years, that includes complete refurbishment of the interior
spaces, new mechanical systems and asbestos abatement. FRK was retained to
provide architectural and interior design services for the first of five
phases encompassing two upper floors of the building.
